Ta3mal Employability Network
In a region where the unemployment rate among young people is the highest of any region in the world—at 27 percent—young Arabs looking for work now have new high-tech services created just for them.
Through a regional partnership with Microsoft, Silatech launched Ta3mal, an employability portal that provides young people with all the resources they need to find a job or start their own business. Here, young people have access to aptitude testing and career guidance counseling. There are tips on how to write a CV and how to prepare for a job interview. Ta3mal has over 500 online courses, including valuable language training, as well as job search and job matching.
For aspiring young entrepreneurs, Ta3mal shows them how to create a business plan and obtain an essential bank loan. There are tips on marketing and leadership skills, and counselors are available to answer questions each step of the way.
Launched first in Egypt in 2012, the Ta3mal network now has portals in Tunisia, Qatar and Iraq, and will expand soon to cover Jordan, Algeria, Morocco and Palestine.
