Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser has been actively engaged in education and social reform in Qatar for many years and has played a major role in spearheading various national and international development projects.

She currently serves as chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, a private non-profit organization founded in 1995 on the personal initiative of His highness The Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

After a distinguished career with the United Nations and the Finnish Foreign Ministry, Martti Ahtisaari was elected as President of the Republic of Finland in 1994. He held the position until the end of February 2000.

Upon leaving office as President of the Republic of Finland, Mr. Ahtisaari has taken up several international tasks to continue his career in international peace-mediation and conflict resolution. He is assisted in these tasks by the staff of the Crisis Management Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organisation that Mr. Ahtisaari founded in 2000 and for which he acts as the Chairman of the Board.

H.E. Dr. Hessa Al Jaber is the first-ever Minister of Information and Communications Technology in Qatar following the formation of the nation’s new Cabinet by H.H. the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani in 2013. She is the third Qatari woman to assume a ministerial position in the state.

Prior to becoming a minister, Dr. Hessa held the position of Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology (ictQATAR) since its inception in 2005.

Nemir Kirdar is the Founder, Executive Chairman and CEO of the global investment group, Investcorp, which operates out of New York, London and Bahrain.

Mr. Kirdar began his banking career in New York in 1969. Following two years of credit training, he covered South East Asia and Japan for Allied Bank International. In 1974 he joined The Chase Manhattan Bank, New York, as Vice President. Between 1976 and 1981 he served in the Arabian Gulf overseeing and directing Chase's banking network in the region. He founded Investcorp in 1982.

Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali Al-Madani is the first President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), having held that position since 1975.

Dr. Ali was born in Almadinah Almunawarah, Saudi Arabia, in 1934, where he completed early education. He holds a B.A. degree in Commerce and a degree in Law from Cairo University, Egypt. He earned M.A. and PhD degrees, both in Public Administration, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and, State University of New York (SUNY), Albany, USA, respectively in 1962 and 1967.

Mr. Mohammed Al Naimi currently serves as the Planning and Programming Director in the Office of Her Highness Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser. He began his career in 1998 as a Civil Engineer at Qatar Liquefied Gas Company, where he was responsible for the necessary Civil Engineering modifications and improvements to the LNG plant and loading facilitates at Ras Laffan Industrial City in Qatar.

Tarik Mohamed Yousef was appointed in March 2011 as Chief Executive Officer of Silatech.

An expert on youth inclusion and policy reform in the Arab world, he has contributed over 50 articles and chapters, and co-edited several volumes and reports. His policy experience includes working at the African and Middle East Departments of the International Monetary Fund, the Middle East and North Africa Region at World Bank, the United Nations Development Program, and the Millennium Project at the UN. He is a regular media commentator, public speaker and advisor to international institutions, governments and corporations on Middle Eastern affairs.
