Board Member

Nabil Kuzbari is President and CEO of The Kuzbari Group and President and CEO of Vimpex Handelsgesellschaft MBH. The Kuzbari Group is a specialist and market leader in the Arab World in paper and board trading and converting, with fourteen sales companies and three converting plants. The Kuzbari Group is also rebuilding, modernising and managing the Deir-Ez-Zor Paper Mill in Syria. In addition, The Group is a joint venture partner in telecommunications in Syria, specialising in the deployment of wireless local loop systems manufactured in Syria.

Mr. Kuzbari serves as Chairman of the Board of Transair Bedarfsflugunternehmen, Vienna Petrochemical, Cham Holding, and is a member of the Board of Cham Bank. He is a founder and Vice President of the Austro-Arab Chamber of Commerce, member of the Arab Business Council, Vice President of the Austro-Arab Society, Vice President of the Austrian-Syrian Society and has been a member of the World Economic Forum for twenty-one years.

Mr. Kuzbari is the former honorary Consul General of Syria in Austria. He has received numerous awards for his leadership, including the “Goldene Ehrenzeichen fur Verdienste um das Land Wien”, awarded by the Governor of Vienna, the “Grosse silbernes Ehrenabzeichen”, awarded by the Austrian President, the “Order of the Lion”, awarded by the Finnish President, and the title of “Kommerzialrat”, awarded by the Austrian President.

Mr. Kuzbari completed engineering studies in metallurgy at the Technical University of Berlin.
